Currently there are two fundamental science projects going on in the laboratory :

          1. Physics and Applications of Nanostructures and Bulk Matter (grant. no. 098-0982904-2898)                            K. Furić, PhD.

          2. Organizational Processes and Optical Interactions in Condensed Molecular Systems (grant no. 098-0982915-2899  )            D. Risović, PhD .

 and two bilateral Croatian-Slovenian projects:

         Study of preferential conformations of peptides in solution applying vibrational spectroscopy (2009 - 2010)           V. Mohaček Grošev, PhD

         Correlation of structure and properties of nanostructured perovskites (2010 - 2011)           A. Gajović, PhD

Previous projects can be seen here.

  The research activities of the laboratory comprehend:

* vibrational spectroscopy of molecular crystals
* vibrational calculation of molecular crystals
* hydrogen bond, carboxylic and amino acids
* temperature and pressure induced phase transitions
* laser - matter interactions (W, Co, Ta), self-organization,
filaments, improvements of surface (mechanical, other) properties
* light scattering and radiative transfer in seawater
* fractal structures and self-organization processes in free
and adsorbed systems
* amorphous and crystalline semiconductors (Si, GaAs, CdSxSe1-x
and other technologies), defects in semiconductors, ion implantation
* oxide materials (ZrO2, TiO2, SnO2, ZnO, Y2O3)
* glassy, vitreous materials (borosilicate, phosphate, leucite,
for IR region, for nuclear waste)
* thin layer processing, microstructure characterization
* nanoparticles, sintering process, new materials
* water, biological materials, agglomeration

 Major part of experimental research in our Laboratory exploits
 Raman and   infrared spectroscopies adapted to wide range of
 temperature (10 K - 1970 K) and pressure (0 bar - 60 kbar) and to all aggregate states of matter (gas, liquid, solid). Additionally, there is a  scanning electron microscope and LPCVD device for thin film deposition.
         The detailed list follows:

* Raman spectrometer HORIBA Jobin-Yvon T64000 , from 2006.
