STUDENT ACCOMMODATION

The accommodation for the participants will be organized in a charming Ravnice Youth Hostel, located in a cosy neighborhood, near the mythic Maksimir park and the homonymous football stadium. Some simple instructions on how to get there you can find here, but for more details, please visit the excellent web site of the hostel.

Important: Once in Zagreb, no matter whether at the main bus station, central railway station, or at the Zagreb airport, think twice before deciding to take a taxi. Taxis in Zagreb are among the most expensive in Europe. Luckilly, there are plenty of alternative solutions.

• An efficient shuttle service operates from the Zagreb airport to the main bus station (see http://www.plesoprijevoz.hr/about.htm).

• From the main bus station take the tram number 7 to reach the Ravnice Youth Hostel (direction: Dubrava, tram stop: Ravnice). From the central railway station to the Ravnice Youth Hostel take the tram number 4 (direction: Dubec, tram stop: Ravnice).

• Make sure you have purchased a tram/bus ticket at a kiosk before entering (a single ride costs 8.00 HRK). Alternatively, if you have a mobile phone working with a Croatian operators sim card (T-Mobile HR, Vipnet HR, or Tele2 HR), you can buy a tram ticket simply by sending an sms  (www.zet.hr for more).
