On this year's official Debian conference, debconf8, there was analyzed Debian position in the domain of High-performance computing environments. Among the other themes, there was also discussed RBI’s project Debian Cluster Components (DCC), which is currently the only software package intended for the construction of production cluster based on Debian GNU / Linux distribution. Since the DCC project completed in early 2006., The Center for Informatics and Computing of the RBI currently works on gathering teams and finding funds for the continuation of this very successful project based on Open source platform.
