Impressions from the School 2006
Idyllic location with very good organization. The workshop is complex but flows very well. The free time was very useful for discussions. It is the best coverage of biophysics that I have seen. Prof. Ian Smith NRC,
Winnipeg, Canada It has been an amazing experience : the students are phantastic and I would love to have one of them in my lab. Scientific content – so far the lecturers have been absolutely first rate. Furthermore, the students constantly interacted with the lecturers – meals expanded into „mini discussion“ groups. This has been the most interactive summer school I ever attented! In summary : I would rate this School „second to none“ – the top! Prof. Angela
Gronenborn Department of Structural
Biology I really enjoyed the program. Its broad selection of topics was interesting and a great venue for knowledge transfer. I do hope the program continues by sucessuflly staying abreast on new research fields. Also, I will do my best to promote the School in the USA. Many thanks for a wonderful time in Croatia! Lauren Denkins-Taffe PhD student Howard University Washington D.C., USA Another very successful School, with a large member of excellent lecturers. Prof. Jo Butler MRC Laboratory of
Molecular Biology Cambridge, England Excellent program, top speakers, new fields including unique location and high quality facilities. Sufficient free time and active social program was a basis for scientific communication and establishing collaborations and friendships. On a personal side I was happy and felt privileged by being a part of the School. I will do my best in helping the School to contribute in future. Prof. Ivan

II Goethe University School of
Medicine Frankfurt, Germany Generally I think that the lectures have distributed so well keeping the dynamic during the School. Themes selection covers all the topics related to the biophysics area. Variety of the themes selected permit a young students be open minded to a variety of techniques that could be applied during their PhD studies. Sónia Gonçalves Abreu PhD student Faculty of Medicine Lisboa, Portugal I would like to note : high level, excellent team of the lecturers and well-though-out scientific program; extremely beautiful and convenient location of the School giving participants an opportunity to relax at the beach in free time; wonderful social program; the location of the School and hospitality of the organizers provide a lot of unique possibilities for the discussions between students and lecturers. I'm really hoping that future 2009 School on Biophysics will be of the same great success. Prof. Valery

Germany Biophysical Summer School was a good opportunity to learn about several subjects, to contact with honourable researchers. It was a good opportunity to show my work and to improve skills in science communication. Also, the kindness of people involved in this School, the simpathy of the other participants, good weather and wonderful landscape of this country are the ingredients for a good combination of science and fun. Sónia Henriques PhD student Faculdade de Ciências Lisboa, Portugal Very well organized School. Excellent lecturers, stimulating discussions, students eager to learn.
