With great sorrow COST B35 announces that our dear member Prof. Dr. Janos Feher is not longer with us. Janos passed away suddenly on May 28th, being full of energy and vitality, typical for him, until the very end.
European science has lost one of the most devoted and successful pioneers of ERA, era in any sense. His freinds in COST B35 Action have lost dear friend whom we will remember forever as smiling gentleman, full of warming enthusiasm and enthusiastic ideas, one of rarest people, those who make dreams come true.
If you have the research or review paper for Clinical and Experimental Medical Journal (CEMED), which you wish to dedicate to Janos please send it to zarkovic@irb.hr. That way we could try to follow the dreams of Janos further.

Peroxidation Associated Disorders: LPO
Turin, ITALY, June 16-18, 2010
The main objective of the Action is to improve understanding, monitoring and control of lipid peroxidation in medicine and related biosciences and technologies.
Secondary objectives
- improve methods for detection and quantitation of lipid peroxidation for use in research and subsequent application (through biotechnology) to clinical science;
- determine the prevalence of lipid peroxidation products in various inflammatory diseases and its correlation to disease severity or outcome;
- elucidate the metabolism of important lipid peroxidation products and improve our understanding of their proinflammatory and other biological effects;
- develop and test novel antioxidants that could have future applications in therapy for inflammatory diseases.
