Abstract: Recent work, due to Jorgensen, Krause and Iyengar-Krause, related dualizing complexes over a ring $R$ with some structure on the homotopy category of flat modules. We will explain even more recent work, by Murfet and by myself, which allows a global version valid for all schemes.
