Travel to Split to workshop Categories in geometry

The conference is September 24-28, that is Monday-Friday, but we expect to have some informal program or some talks by younger participants on Sunday afternoon or evening. So we recommend participants from abroad to arrive on Sunday or earlier, especially for those from far away. The conference talks on Monday will be starting in the morning!

The main travel companies travelling to Split are Croatia Airlines and Germanwings. Croatia Airlines tickets are cheaper if found online. Some online mass sellers of air tickets offer only business class for Croatia Airlines, giving wrong info that economy class is not available. It is better to do it via Croatia Airlines webpage or sometimes via a travel agency. Most airplanes to Croatia fly to Zagreb and the connection Zagreb-Split is available often and it is relatively cheap. Some airlines fly from Vienna, Cologne etc. directly to Split without stop in Zagreb. Split airport is about 30 minutes from the conference site. Cheap airlines Germanwings flies directly (only some days in a week) from Berlin-Schonefeld (SXF), Cologne-Bonn airport (CGN), Hamburg (HAM) and Stuttgart (STR) (in winter also from Dortmund, but our conference is in September). During the summers and early October there are also Germanwings flights from Cologne-Bonn and Stuttgart to the airport of Zadar which is about 1-2 hours ground transportation from here. We will try to organize the transportation between the institute and the airport for the invited participants, to avoid taxi improvizations. More travel information to MedILS institute is at MedILS official travel page .
