Hi all, This is just here to cover some info and some questions regarding attacks etc. for those who might've missed some of it. In case you don't get this file wordwraped, save it to your harddrive and open it in Notepad. --- yesterday --- We got hit by NoS and WP + incluster Xeta yesterday. When attacked, we defend people who are online first. In case someone doesn't know it yet, galstatus does NOT get updated real time. It gets updated only at the time of the tick. You can see the incomings info on *your* overview, but we CAN'T see it on the galstatus. This makes things harder to set up for ppl who are offline, so we cover those who are online first. Among people who are online, we try to fix those with least incomings first. For example, icehit had 20 incoming hostile fleets yesterday; there were people with 4 hostile incomings. It is natural that I'll rather cover 5 people like that if I can. It is possible that people with 3-4 fleets remain uncovered; that can happen in case their hostiles get launched later, by the time we can't get anymore help. We try to avoid that by leaving ingal fleets for later. In short, we do our best. We had close to 80 planets attacking us, not counting friendly podding. 24 hostile planets were incluster; 5 24: 1 3 5 6 7 9 11 12 13 14 15 17 5:10: 1 2 4 6 7 11 18 21 5:25: 14 16 5:13:1 5:1:13 Launches were happening from 1:55 till 4:55. --- today, tomorrow, and for the rest of our lives --- It is very obvious that 5.55 (and possibly even 6.55, morning!) retals will be AWESOME if a war in our c continues the way it's happening now (i.e. 3.55 launches form 5:10, 24 & 25 on vts / Fury gals). We gain more in a single retal than all those c5 gals that his us together get from us. We already know that a large part of the gals in our cluster hostile to us, and know which ones. However, 10, 24 & 25 are clearly the most active ones. They have very little odds of getting help for our 6.55 retals; odds are none or VERY little of their cluster allies, gals hostile to us (but rather newbieish), will be online at that time. Plus, if they attacked us then they've been up late (till 3,55) launching, and the most common thing to do after a launch when there are no newsies is to simply get to bed. Apart from that, out of C help not only won't make it on time, but is also very scarce at that time. War is going on throughout the entire universe; their alliances defense fleets are depleted by that time. So in the end you have their three gals hitting us at 3,55, us covering that and then retaling their empty gals. That's what happened yesterday (to a point, we didn't launch a full scale retal), and all those who launched (5-6 ppl) retals we were *very* successful, causing individual c5 gals to lose MORE than they gained on our planets. If we had 5:22 retaling with us we wouldn't just nick a few roids from 5:24, we would've seriously raped them, I doubt we will get hit by them tonight again; they'll prolly switch to another nonXeta c5 gal. However, we still go with retals. Keep your Pods home tonight. This means that most of you who work can hit the bed early, e.g. 11, be reachable (wakeupable) via SMS in case we get hit to update us on their overviews, and set your alarmclock for 6:30, to launch the fleet. Incluster Xeta will definitely be causing us more trouble, but incluster Xeta is very vulnerable to the explained retals. Please understand that it's really important none of our enemies find out about this. Please do NOT brag in cluster channels about ANYTHING, do not even DISCUSS things with people out of our gal (+5:22), do not brag, do not say stupid things like "5:22 will cover us if you attack us" in evening chats, say absolutely NOTHING to ANYONE. Just keep your mouth shut. And get traveltime upgrades. - Kick -
