The project is based on conjugates of metal complexes with biomolecules, in particular with amino acids, peptides, nucleic acids and their analogues. The focus of the study is on the biological and catalytic properties of the metallated bioconjugates, with broad potential applications in the fields of biomedicine and material sciences. The proposed work is a new research area in Croatia that will be founded by the return of the principle investigator from abroad. The aim of this project is to acquire the instrumentation necessary for its successful realization, with particular emphasis on microwave enhanced synthesis of metallated biooligomers on solid support and on ultra performance liquid chromatography.
