In the Laboratory of cell biophysics we primarily investigate the structure, dynamics and function of the cytoskeleton.

We utilize methods of molecular cell biology, biochemistry, advanced light microscopy and image analysis, aided by mathematical modelling, to uncover complex biological processes inside the cytoskeleton, and to clarify the underlying physical mechanisms.

The research focus of the Tolić Lab is the understanding of microtubule function in mitosis, whereas the Weber Lab investigates regulation of the actin cytoskeleton in cell motility.
