Prva godina // First Year Project Results
The work during the first year of the project duration consisted of:
- sampling of speleothems in 3 caves; monitoring of environmental conditions in the caves,
- subsampling of the lake sediment cores taken from different locations in two lakes of the Plitvice Lakes system; some isotope, CHN and mineralogical analyses,
- sampling and some isotope measurements of tufa deposits from the Zrmanja River, 14C dating of tufa barriers, as well as water chemistry of the Zrmanja River,
- monitoring of marine algal rims along the Adriatic coast, sampling and some isotope measurements.
