Viker Multifunctional pc-controlled bench scale chemical reactor

Category
  • Farmaceutska industrija

Viker is a multifunctionalcomputer-controlled bench scale chemical reactor developed by scientists from Rudjer Boskovic Institute. It has the possibility of controlling a number of technological parameters with PID regulation implemented.

Market opportunity

Viker is most suitable for use in academic institutions and R&D companies and can be customized to specific customer needs. Rudjer Boskovic Institute also offers support in defining chemical processes and regulating them while using Viker as well as full technical support for the device.

Innovation description

The computer-controlled bench scale chemical reactor has the possibility of controlling a number of technological parameters with PID regulation implemented. The adaptability of the reactor is achieved by incorporation of different actuators and sensors, used for measuring temperature, conductance, pH, concentration of gaseous and dissolved reactants and products. The chemical process is controlled by tailor-made electronics, software and intuitive graphic interface. In Viker a complex multiphase chemical reaction (gas, liquid, solid) can be controlled and observed, e.g. preparation of precipitated calcium carbonate.

Intellectual property status

Rudjer Innovations Ltd would like to offer Viker as well as related know-how and experience to companies interested in commercial exploitation.
