Ruđer Bošković Institute will host a meeting in the framework of the COST Action CA20121 BenBedPhar: "Bench to bedside transition for pharmacological regulation of NRF2 in noncommunicable diseases" on 20 and 21 April 2023. The meeting will take place at Academia Hotel, Tkalčićeva 88, Zagreb.

The COST Action brings together scientists working on the antioxidant transcription factor NRF2 and its role in various pathological processes characterised by chronic inflammation, metabolic changes and disturbances in redox signaling pathways. Pathological conditions in which NRF2 may be altered include autoimmune, cardiovascular, metabolic and neurodegenerative diseases as well as cancer.

During the "4th BenBedPhar Meeting: From Physiology to Pathology", leading European speakers, experts in the field of NRF2 research and young scientists at the beginning of their careers will come together. The organising committee of the meeting are Ana Čipak Gašparović, Lidija Milković, Dubravka Švob Štrac, Mihaela Matovina and Monika Mlinarić.
