EMBO Young Scientists’ Forum 2026
The EMBO Young Scientists’ Forum (EYSF) brings together young scientists (PhD students, postdocs) to engage with colleagues from across the continent, share their findings and interests with its interdisciplinary audience, build new collaborations, and engage with science through a creative lens. It also features networking and presentations from renowned research leaders in the life sciences, who gather each year in a different European city represented in EMBO’s vast network.
This year’s Forum will be organised by recipients of the EMBO Installation Grant from Croatian academia and will - for the first time ever - come to beautiful Croatia, to the medieval town of Dubrovnik.
Our two-day program includes panel sessions spanning the following life science areas:
- Computational genomics
- Immune system
- Adaptation and global change
- Non-model organisms
The program will also feature poster sessions where young researchers will be able to present their own research as well as engaging workshops and plenary talks covering topics such as women in science, responsible use of AI in science, open science, mental health, etc.

Important dates and fees
- Early bird registration deadline: 15 July 2026
- Regular registration deadline: 30 September 2026
- Students/postdocs (early bird) = 125 EUR
- Students/postdocs (regular) = 200 EUR
- Academic (early bird) = 250 EUR
- Academic (regular) = 350 EUR
- Industry (early bird) = 400 EUR
- Industry (regular) = 500 EUR
Registration and abstract submission
Participation at the conference is subject to a registration fee. Early-bird registration and payment is available by July 15, 2026. After this date, participants will be charged the regular price. Please note that the number of participants is limited to 200.
Participants who wish to present a poster should deliver an abstract upon registration. There will be no selection procedure for posters. Poster topics may come from any area of life sciences. Please note that it is not mandatory to present a poster, you can attend the conference even if you only want to network.
