Professor Ferenc on Novel Photosensors for Next-Generation Projects in (Astro) Particle Physics

Professor Daniel Ferenc, PhD, a professor at the University of California, Davis, USA, will give a lecture titled: An Opportunity for Croatia - Novel Photosensors for Next-Generation Projects in (Astro) Particle Physics, Medical Imaging, And Defense on December 1, 2009 at the RBI.

Professor Ferenc is a pioneer of gamma astronomy in Croatia and one of the founders of the MAGIC (Major Atmospheric Gamma-ray Imaging Cherenkov) collaboration in 1995. Today the MAGIC collaboration gathers more than 150 scientists from eight countries. MAGIC telescopes are the largest gamma-ray telescope in the world.
