RBI Scientists Visit the President of the Republic of Croatia
Croatia's president Dr. Ivo Josipović hosted a delegation of representatives involved in the project "Civitas, scientists and media against violence" and expressed his support for their activities. Scientists Dr. Mariastefania Antica, Dr. Hrvoje Fulgosi and Dr. Đurđica Ugarković lead the RBI initiative in this project.
The purpose of this activity is to educate young people on the importance of science, and make accessible the work of scientists, their views and message to children and young adults regarding the selection of values, creating their own life path and accepting responsibility for one's actions. Particular emphasis is placed on the importance of education and turning away from destructive and violent behaviour. The project is realized through lectures given at elementary schools and workshops held at RBI.
