The LLS 7 is an advanced fluorescence microscope that utilises an ultra-thin, structured light sheet to excite fluorescence in successive planes of a specimen, generating a time series of 3D images. As the sample is illuminated only in a thin focal plane, phototoxicity and photodamage are minimised, making it possible to image long-term biodynamic processes. The inverted platform is compatible with all commonly used sample carriers, so there is no need to adjust standard sample preparation protocols.
