The project focuses on the development of collagen-based functional coatings on titanium dental implants for controlled antibiotic delivery. The aim is to enhance corrosion resistance, improve osseointegration, and reduce the risk of peri-implant infections through localized drug delivery strategies. The project is conducted at the Ruđer Bošković Institute in collaboration with biomedical partners, IMI-Institute for Medical Research and Occupational Health.

This project is funded by the European Union through the NextGenerationEU instrument, via an internal competitive call at the Ruđer Bošković Institute (project code GD1-26).
