Labeling biomolecules with visual probes is a key tool in biomedicine for monitoring processes related to the development of pathological conditions, the mechanism of drug action, vital cellular processes, etc. Current protocols for labeling biomolecules involve introducing the probe into a living system and activating it, whereby binding to the biomolecule occurs. The main drawback of this protocol is the activation of the probe by the action of harmful localized UV radiation. In laboratory conditions, we have developed a probe colloquially called SeeMeClick, which is activated and binds to a model molecule using focused blue LED light. With this project, we aim to examine the activation and binding of the SeeMeClick probe under physiological conditions to biomolecules present in living systems.
