The concentrations of radionuclides present in the environment of the future center for the disposal of radioactive waste were determined, as well as the ambient dose rates at a number of locations in the environment of the future center, and the exposure of a local representative person, which comes from natural sources of radiation and being in the environment, was determined. The intake of radionuclides into the body through water, air and food products was considered, as well as the external component of radiation that comes from cosmic and terrestrial radiation. Initial values were obtained for long-term monitoring of the impact of the future facility on the environment and the quality of life of people in the environment of the future facility through the planned Environmental Monitoring Program on a periodic basis.
