Traditional methods for the early diagnosis of prostate cancer are neither precise nor pleasant enough for the patient. Modern methods include the use of diagnostic tests for the purpose of PET/CT visualization, but currently used tests (almost exclusively based on radioactive gallium) have a short half-life (68 min). The goal of the project is to develop a diagnostic test for the early detection of prostate cancer based on radioactive fluorine, with a half-life twice as long (110 min).
