Assessment of anthropogenic pollution to the karts water ecosystem in the border zone between Politico Lakes National Park (Croatia) and Bihar Valley (Bosnia-Herzegovina) is necessary after whole area was affected by war and no investigations were performed since 1991. The project envisages establishment of a Geographic Information System (GIS) of the selected area and of a hydro geological model of the region. Sartorial studies will be made on three domains: tourist, industrial and municipal. The project is oriented towards the end users : local authorities, enterprises, national parks and non-governmental organizations. It promotes the reestablishment of sustainable development, market structures and scientific-technical cooperation between CEEC countries and EU Member States.
