Dr. Zoran Kiralj was awarded by COST action CAPSTONE (Oxidative Stress at the Crossroads of Adverse Outcome Pathways – Pesticides – One Health) a Young Researcher and Innovator (YRI) Conference Grant for participation at international scientific meeting 2026 FSBI Symposium 'Breaking Siloes in Fish Biology' in Southampton, United Kingdom (27-31 July 2026) with the selected results of the BeDIFFERENCE project.

The results were presented in a form of poster under title "The effect of drainage from abandoned coal mines on biomarkers of liver disturbance and general cellular and metabolic damage in blood of pelagic and benthic fishes from the Mura River (Croatia)".
