Summer field sampling (invertebrates)
Summer field sampling was conducted from 10th to 13th September 2026.
At six sites (Jalšovec, Sveti Martin na Muri, Mursko Središće, Podturen, Goričan, Kotoriba) and in river branches we have collected samples of the river-water for measurement of dissolved metal concentrations, water hardness and turbidity, as well as antibiotics. We have measured physico-chemical parameters (dissolved oxygen, pH, water temperature, electrical conductivity), and sampled representatives of several groups of invertebrates (freshwater amphipod crustaceans, snails, shellfish, and crayfish), the tissues of which (whole specimens, whole soft tissue, or separate organs) were stored for further analyses of metals and biomarkers.
