Assoc. prof. dr. Herta Czédli will give an invited lecture within the series of colloquia of Division for Marine and Environmental Research at Ruđer Bošković Institute, on 15 September 2026, at 14h.

Lecture title:

"Water Scarcity and Climate Change: What Does Biomonitoring Reveal About the Condition and Resilience of Wetlands?"

Dr. Herta Czédli is an Associate Professor at the Department of Civil Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, University of Debrecen, Hungary. Her research interests include environmental status assessment, analysis of environmental exposure, detection and analytical investigation of heavy-metal contamination, bioaccumulation monitoring in aquatic organisms, and the ecological role of urban green spaces.

Dr. Czédli has also been involved in environmental engineering education. She is listed as the programme director of the Environmental Management Engineering postgraduate programme at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Debrecen.

Dr. Czédli is collaborating on a new direction within the BeDIFFERENCE project, referring to detection of metal bioaccumulation in fish fins by micro-XRF and SEM techniques.
