Doctoral thesis

Zoran Kiralj, mag. biol. exp., has defended his doctoral thesis on 5^th December 2025, before the following committee: prof. dr. Jasna Lajtner, doc. dr. Željka Fiket, and dr. Zorana Kljaković Gašpić. His doctoral thesis, titled "Metal bioaccumulation, biomarker responses and metal-binding biomolecules in the digestive gland of the mussel Unio crassus as indicators of freshwater ecosystem contamination" was done within the doctoral study of Biology at Faculty of Science, University of Zagreb, under supervision of dr. Dušica Ivanković and dr. Saša Kazazić (Ruđer Bošković Institute, Zagreb), as a part of the HrZZ project METABIOM.
