Precipitated Calcium Carbonate (PCC) is universal mineral filler and dye. It is primarily used in production of paper, plastics, rubber, in pharmaceutical and food industry. For each different use PCC with specific physical-chemical characteristics is needed.
PCC is produced from lime and CO2 and for the lime manufacturers PCC is product with much greater added value than lime itself. PCC is also product that reduces lime manufacturers CO2 emission.
Technical description
PCC is produced in controlled process with multifunctional computer-controlled bench scale chemical reactor with possibility of controlling a number of technological parameters with PID (proportional-integral-derivative) regulation implemented. Possibility for very precise control of all process parameters enables production of final product With specific physical-chemical characteristics (mineral structure, crystal size distribution, crystal morphology...) needed for specific use.
