Instrument: light microscope Leica DMLS, Leica, Germany

Year: 2001.

Leica DMLS light microscope is equipped with digital camera and hot stage. Leica DMLS is modern microscope for laboratory applications. Video camera Sony model No. SSC-DC58AP enables computer controlled microscoping, taking pictures and videos. Available contrasting techniques are brightfield, polarization and phase contrast. The microscope is used for visualization of inorganic and organic crystals morphology, as well as identification of liotropic and thermotropic liquid crystals. Hot stage enables monitoring the changes of polymorphs and liquid crystals textures during heating and cooling.
