Central European Genome Stability and Dynamics Meeting (CEGSDM)

Time
Oct 15th 2016 10:00
Location
Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science

Repair of damaged hereditary substance (DNA) that maintains its continuous functional stability – and the accompanying paradigm of stability of the genome as a basic pillar of the existence of living cells – is fundamental research interest in molecular genetics of all domains of life.

Central European Genome Stability and Dynamics Meeting (CEGSDM)

There are many different events worldwide dedicated to this scientific subject and their number is constantly rising. One of these – Central European Genome Stability and Dynamics Meeting (CEGSDM) – has been continuously planned and held in our closest neighborhood connecting academic centers of Central Europe.

Address

Meeting is located at Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science, University of Zagreb Horvatovac 102A, 10000 Zagreb, Croatia in Lecture Hall A1.

CEGSDM has started very informally at the University of Vienna almost a decade ago… Maintaining its unique informality, over the time CEGSDM has survived to become very precisely and effectively focused scientific gathering of researchers from many neighboring academic centers. Today, CEGSDM is a prestigious scientific event presenting the newest endeavors of basic genetic/molecular biology research on genome stability & dynamics and broken DNA repair in Central Europe.

We are happy to announce that this year CEGSDM will be held in Zagreb under the auspice of Ruđer Bošković Institute and financially and logistically supported by The Foundation of the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts and Faculty of Science (University of Zagreb), respectively, in the organization of Brčić-Kostić Group.

The scientific program of CEGSDM 2016 can be downloaded here.

We are looking forward to seeing you there.

Sincerely yours,

Organizers
