Formal Presentation of Annual Awards to Young Scientists and Artists

On March 27, 2012, the Society of University Teachers, Scholars and Other Scientists presented the Annual Awards of the Society for 2011 to eleven young scientists and artists, including a young researcher at the Ruđer Bošković Institute, Nena Peran, Ph.D., for her contribution to the field of the natural sciences.

This is the fourteenth year that these awards have been presented, with the basic goal of encouraging scientific research and artistic activities among young scientists and artists under 35 years of age who are full-time employees of colleges, academies or institutes.

The awards ceremony was attended by the minister of science, education and sports, Željko Jovanović, Ph.D., who expressed the hope that the Ministry will successfully solve the problem of regulating the employment status of young scientists after they earn their doctorates.
