Prva zajednička radionica IRB-a i Končara
On the initiative by RBI Director General Danica Ramljak, DVM, PhD, and the Chief Executive Officer of Končar – Electrical Industries Inc. Darinko Bago, the Ruđer Bošković Institute and Končar - Electrical Industries Inc. held their first joint workshop today. The aim of this workshop was to define common research and development programs of special interest to the Republic of Croatia.
Today's workshop was a successful continuation of the initiative launched at the working meeting between the Heads of RBI and Končar held in July this year. In the first part of the workshop, participants focused on joint programs in the field of solar energy usage, sensors development, materials processing and IT technology applications, while the second part of the workshop included presentations on various scientific projects in the field of quantum informatics, nanotechnology and bio-hydrogen production.
Organization of these kinds of workshops between the largest scientific research centre in Croatia and one of the leading Croatian companies is essential for technical upgrading and restructuring of industries that promote sustainable national economic and social development.
