The Ruđer Bošković Institute Announces a Series of Lectures by Ambassadors Accredited in the Republic of Croatia

With the aim of stimulating the exchange of ideas and fostering greater cooperation between Croatia and those countries who see science and education as the basis for development of high technologies and spearheading economic growth, the Rudjer Boskovic Institute begins a new project entitled The Rudjer Boskovic Institute Embassy Series. This series of lectures by accredited ambassadors in the Republic of Croatia will be held once a month in the auditorium of the Croatian Chamber of Economy in Zagreb and will be open to all members of the academic, business and diplomatic communities as well as to the general public.

The Embassy Series will be a platform for ambassadors to speak on the scientific and technological policies and programs in their countries with special emphasis on their key scientific institutions and high technology companies.

It is our great honour to announce that the inaugural address in this series will be given by her excellency Beverley Mercer, ambassador for Australia on Oct. 27, 2010 at 16:00 in the auditorium of the Croatian Chamber of Economy, Rooseveltov trg 2, Zagreb.

The Institute's initiative has been supported by 15 ambassadors accredited in the Republic of Croatia and will greatly contribute to better bilateral relations with Croatia and raise the international profile of the Rudjer Boskovic Institute.
