The Labconco FreeZone 1 (Model 7740030) is a compact benchtop laboratory freeze dryer designed for the efficient sublimation and removal of solvents from temperature-sensitive biological, pharmaceutical, and chemical samples. The instrument features an upscale stainless steel collector coil capable of removing 1 liter of water in 24 hours and maintaining temperatures down to -50 °C, ensuring optimal moisture entrapment. Equipped with a digital LCD screen, the system provides real-time monitoring of operational parameters, including collector temperature and vacuum levels. The system is additionally equipped with a 4-port manifold, enabling the simultaneous and independent freeze-drying of up to four flasks. Each port features an individual neoprene valve, allowing for precise vacuum control and seamless sample exchange without interrupting the ongoing lyophilization cycle.
