Scientific research of the Laboratory is focused on the three key research directions:

exploring the contribution of pollution of the environment with antibiotics and resistant bacteria on the development and spread of antibiotic resistance
estimating the impact of pollutants on microbial communities in the enviroment
characterization of microbial communities as potential catalysts for biodegradation of organic pollutants – determining of catabolic and genetic potential for degradation
