2021/01 /15- 2021/12/15 PhD student Marija Tomić, through the British Scholarship Trust grant for scientific research at the British University in the academic year 2021/2022 spent 2 months at the Wellcome Trust Center for Cell Matrix Research, Faculty of Biology, Medicine & Health, University of Manchester, Manchester, UK in the laboratory of Prof. Martin J. Humphries, to learn the method of isolation of adhesion complexes and their analysis using mass spectrometry.
2021/09/ 21– 2021/09/26 PhD student Marija Tomić attended EMBO Workshop Systems approaches in cancer in Split with the poster 'Adhesome analysis of tongue squamous carcinoma cell line Cal27 and its cell clone with de novo expression of integrin αVβ3: preferential adhesion through integrin α6β4 forming type II hemidesmosome-like adhesions (Tadijan et al. 2021)
