In vitro Testing of Antitumor Activity of Newly Synthesized Compounds
Contacts
The Laboratory for Experimental Therapy offers testing of the antitumor activity of newly synthesized and natural compounds.
- Sample preparation: Compounds should be delivered dissolved in water or in an appropriate organic solvent (preferably DMSO) at a concentration of 0.04 mol/L (if dissolved in DMSO).
- Cell lines: Initial testing is performed on three human tumor cell lines. If a compound shows activity, further testing on a wider panel of tumor and/or non-tumor cell lines can be arranged upon agreement.
- Assay: Cell metabolic activity is measured using the MTT assay. Results are provided in graphical form and as GI50 values (growth inhibition 50%).
- Pricing: The cost of testing per compound is determined upon request, depending on the number of compounds submitted.
