Continuing the previously initiated research under the guidance of Professor Željko Svedružić († April 20, 2023), the scientific team from the University of Rijeka and the Center for Informatics  and Computing at the Ruđer Bošković Institute in Croatia, has successfully applied for and secured funding for the implementation of the EHPC-BEN-2023B11-013 project on the LUMI supercomputer. This exceptionally powerful system, the HPE Cray EX, with an installed power of 0.3091 Exaflops, is located at the EuroHPC center CSC in Finland and proudly holds the status of the third most powerful supercomputer globally.

CIR is supporting the development and adoption of the EBSI network at the European level through the project "The European Blockchain Services Infrastructure (EBSI-NE)""

The aim of the platform DAP is to create a democratic, trustworthy and efficient infrastructure for scholarly publishing to support the European Research Area, Open Research Europe and the Digital Europe Programme.

This unique initiative brings together researchers from the Centre for Informatics and Computing at the Ruđer Bošković Institute (RBI) in Zagreb, Croatia, along with experts from NGI Trublo, Moon Code, and HashNET.

The Center for Informatics and Computing (CIR) of the Ruđer Bošković Institute (RBI) in cooperation with the Juelich supercomputer center from Germany and the RIKEN research center from Japan has gained access to the Fugaku supercomputer in Japan, currently the second most powerful supercomputer in the world according to the list of the Top500 fastest computers in the world.

The National Competence Centers in the framework of EuroHPC Phase 2 (EuroCC 2) project started on January 1, 2023 as a continuation of the two-year EuroCC project. During the three years of the project, the network of national competence centers for high-performance computing in 33 member states of EuroHPC JU will be improved, with the aim of providing a portfolio of services adapted to the respective national needs of industry, scientific-academic community and public administration.

The 79th anniversary of Nikola Tesla's death was marked in Zagreb

By laying wreaths at the monument to Nikola Tesla in Zagreb, organized by the Association Nikola Tesla Genius for the Future and Support of the Mayor of Zagreb and the Director of the Ruđer Bošković Institute on January 7 this year tribute was paid to the great genius, inventor and scientist Nikola Tesla.
