The latest newsletter of the Genome of Europe (GoE) project is out. GoE is sequencing 100,000 European reference genomes, with the IRB Laboratory for Advanced Genomics as a partner.

The Croatian node of the European Genomic Data Infrastructure (GDI), run by the IRB Laboratory for Advanced Genomics, is live and public: two Beacons and a FAIR Data Point.

The European "1+ Million Genomes" (1+MG) initiative offers "Let's talk genomics", a portal for citizens and for anyone leading public conversations about genomics.

The third edition of the EASIGEN-DS newsletter is out. EASIGEN-DS is designing the future European research infrastructure for advanced genomics technologies. The newsletter also reports on the consortium's mid-term meeting, held at the Ruđer Bošković Institute.

The Ruđer Bošković Institute, Division of Molecular Medicine, Laboratory for Bioanalytics, in cooperation with the Croatian Veterinary Institute and the company Conscius, presented today in Zagreb the final results of the project “MetaPatvor – Metaproteomics of Adulterated Food Products”. The project has resulted in an innovative and unique methodology for the rapid and selective detection of adulteration in food products.

That very question is at the heart of the European project Joint Action on Personalised Cancer Medicine (JA PCM), funded through the EU4Health programme. The project includes a team from the Ruđer Bošković Institute (RBI), participating as an associated partner of the Sestre milosrdnice University Hospital Centre (UHC Sestre milosrdnice).

As part of the Terry Fox Run charity race held last autumn at Jarun in Zagreb, €15,000 was raised and presented to the Ruđer Bošković Institute to support research into new prognostic biomarkers and therapeutic targets for lobular breast cancer.
